Ma On Shan MOSTown Sun Hung Kai Centre | MOST-Venturous Panda Tour . Get Ready! Contemporary cross-media artist Zhao Bandi 10 meters long, 7 meters high inflatable panda art installation first appeared in Hong Kong

Description
This early spring, contemporary famous cross-media artist Zhao Bandi, who is known as the "Panda Man", teamed up with famous art critic and curator Du Xiyun to bring a super giant inflatable panda installation, 'Get Ready', which is 10 meters long and 7 meters high, to Hong Kong for the first time! From May 1st to 31st, it will be stationed at the MOSTown Sun Hung Kai Centre L2 Atrium, inviting everyone to join the 'MOST-Venturous Panda Tour. Get Ready!' and embark on an artistic exploration journey! Zhao Bandi, who has long been known as a "painting genius", specially uses inflatable materials to create a soft and cute giant panda installation, 'Get Ready', and this time the Hong Kong station will also break the boundary by incorporating the popular illusion art to create a super stunning psychedelic abyss and intricate multi-faceted origami art, forming a harmonious yet contrasting visual effect. 'Get Ready' not only fully demonstrates the fusion of his classical aesthetic accomplishments with a unique perspective on contemporary art, but also embraces the diversity of nature, conveying the beautiful meanings of friendship and peace!
In addition, MOSTown Sun Hung Kai Centre invited a five-person production team led by Chan Pak Hei, the founder of the Hong Kong Origami Association, to create a total of 15 30-cm tall, adorable, and interesting 3D origami pandas with the theme of 'Panda Daily Life' for the 'Little Panda Invasion! 3D Origami Panda Exhibition'. At the same time, the 'Paper Boat Community Co-creation' exhibition area is specially set up on-site, inviting citizens to promote waste reduction and giant panda conservation awareness through origami art!
H.COINS members who spend a designated amount in the mall using electronic payment can also participate in two intangible cultural activities - 'MOSTown PandART Workshop - Panda Noodle Sculpture' and 'Panda Candy Painting' redemption, as well as the 'Panda Plaster Painting Workshop'. MOSTown Sun Hung Kai Centre will also donate on behalf of each participant to the Hong Kong Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, joining hands to protect wild giant pandas!
10 meters long and 7 meters high giant 'Get Ready' inflatable panda installation first appeared in Hong Kong
Calling all panda fans! Zhao Bandi, one of the pioneers of national avant-garde art, is internationally renowned for his cross-media art, especially his series of paintings, images, and performance art works with 'panda' as the creative theme element, which are unique in the art world! The large-scale public art installation 'Get Ready' will be coming to Hong Kong for the first time this early summer. The 10-meter-long and 7-meter-high inflatable panda installation is in a running posture, with its limbs stretched out and looking around, expressing a spirit of courage and determination. The creator, Zhao Bandi, said, 'I hope that through this first exhibition in a Hong Kong shopping mall, the work will be closer to the daily lives of citizens and will be able to evoke their true inner feelings.'
The Hong Kong station will also break the boundary by incorporating illusion art to create a super stunning psychedelic abyss. Curator Du Xiyun pointed out, 'This illusion art design concept echoes the creative concept of 'Get Ready'. In an environment full of opportunities and challenges, we can still maintain a 'ready' state of mind, calmly embrace, and actively face the challenges, and we will be able to overcome the difficulties.'
In addition, the creator specially uses inflatable materials to present the soft and cute giant panda installation, 'Get Ready', forming a contrasting yet harmonious visual effect with the three-dimensional geometric origami art. 'Get Ready' not only fully demonstrates the fusion of his classical aesthetic accomplishments with a unique perspective on contemporary art but also embraces the diversity of nature! This seemingly static art installation, together with the 11-meter-wide x 7-meter-deep illusion art floor painting, creates a magical synergy and injects vitality into the work. Together, they create a stunningly realistic illusionary masterpiece under the majestic giant panda art installation!
Collaborating with Hong Kong Origami Association to exclusively exhibit 15 3D eco-friendly origami pandas
In order to add more diverse artistic elements, the mall invited a five-person production team led by Chan Pak Hei, the founder of the Hong Kong Origami Association, including students with special learning disabilities, grassroots students, and transitional housing households, to create the 'Little Panda Invasion! 3D Origami Panda Exhibition' with the theme of 'Panda Daily Life', hoping to share the importance of green living and wild panda conservation through the exhibition.
The team carefully designed and created five cute panda living postures with different meanings, including: 'Big Mouth Chewing Bamboo Leaves' representing abundance, 'Curious Raised Head' representing readiness, and 'Waving Panda' representing good luck and wealth attraction. These origami pandas are hidden in iconic buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour, and soft lighting will be turned on every night to recreate the world-renowned dazzling night view. The production materials use FSC™-certified environmentally friendly paper, and a total of 15 3D origami pandas with a height of 30 cm each are created using intricate and complex multi-faceted origami techniques, with each panda having more than 500 cutting faces. It took nearly 200 hours to complete the production, so panda fans should definitely come and appreciate the intricate and delicate origami pandas up close, feeling the visual impact brought by PANDART POWER!
'Paper Boat Community Co-creation': One Person, One 'Flower', Build a Sailboat
In addition to admiring the master-level artistic creations, the mall sincerely invites all citizens to participate in the 'Paper Boat Community Co-creation' activity. Following the instructional video recorded by the Hong Kong Origami Association, use vibrant paper to fold three-dimensional Bauhinia flowers in a 'one person, one flower' manner, and work together to decorate the three-sail sailboat, a symbol of Hong Kong's economic take-off, through origami art, uniting community strength and sharing the prosperity of Hong Kong, while also expanding the horizons of the public in art!
